BEACON

Figma | Illustrator

Premise

In the winter of 2021, I began a UX Design bootcamp through brainstation. The end goal being a developed app prototype made in figma. Beacon is an app made for the city nightlife, allowing users to connect with one another and their city to explore everything their home has to offer. Made within a 4 month process,

Beacon has served as my first step into the world of UX Design. Concepts covered included User Research, User Personas, Competitive Analysis, Empathetic Design, ADA Compliance, Information Architecture, and Brand Guidelines.

Brand Guidelines

After the process of user research, crafting personas, wire framing and user journeys,, I developed the brand guidelines for how Beacon should look. Mood boards, color palettes, typefaces, and logo blocking. These would act as the rules I relied on when developing product screens and mockups.

More to Come Soon!

This program gave me the opportunity to experiment with new software and explore design concepts that were familiar yet unexplored. Beacon will act as an avenue to explore and test new methods of UX and UI. Each test and iteration will be a stepping stone into the world of product design. There is always so much more to learn as the Design world evolves and changes!
